I'm at the very top of central Minnesota, fairly well mechanically inclined, have a camper if a place to sleep is needed a quite a few connections. Of course, if you're on your SS this time of year, (winter), you need more help than I'm qualified to offer lol!

I am more than willing to help, but these posts are great but for someone looking for help on a cold lonely night, having to scroll through and read every post to find someone close is near impossible and without contact info it's useless. If the people who are willing to help, if they would either PM me here or email me privately with their full name, handle, address and phone number, I would be glad to put it all in a spreadsheet that can be maintained and given to every member so they can keep a copy in the SS if needed. My email is thomaskrpata10@gmail.com

@Bubblehead.....Thanks for offering to take on such a project!!! It means a lot to me when I see people like yourself offer to go out of their way to help others!!!
I'm all for helping out fellow SS riders anytime they are in my area and need help or a quick place to lay their weary heads for the evening.....frosty beverages included of course
However, I am not all that enthused about giving out my personal info to potential trolls, and other less then stellar characters that might call themselves forum members (I've seen several banned already). I would not want my info available in an accessible data base without certain controls as to who can get to it.
We pretty much have a good member map and general idea of each others locations. If someone has an emergency or need for assistance, couldn't they post a "Call for Help" thread on this forum, and let us spring into action? When I first joined this forum, I saw a couple "Calls for Help" go out over the forum, and was super impressed with the way members rallied to try and help their fellow members. In this day and age, most of us have smart phones with internet access, and could easily post a cry for help if needed. Also, if members are planning a trip, maybe they could post their plans and route. Then any of us along that route could PM that person if we wanted to give them our contact info. (I'd be happy to assist any fellow SS owner if you are in my neck of the woods.....PM me and we'll go from there)
Just my thoughts on how we might be able to help each other but still maintain control over who has access to our info.

After talking to a few people on here, I have decided not to create a list of people that are willing to help out if the need ever arose, because of safety concerns in that we are an open forum and have already had some individuals that had come into the forum only to disrupt and cause trouble. I would not like those type of people to have access to your private contact information. What we talked about is if everyone can ensure your location is entered on the SS Owner Location Map then anyone in the forum that needed help could look on that to see how was in their area to help and leave a request on the forum. But let it be know if anyone is in the upstate of South Carolina and need help call me.... 864-466-5280

@Bubblehead do you really want to post your phone # on the internet for absolutely anyone to see?!
DOn't really bother me, If I don't know them or there trolls I just send them to block....np....I'm retired it would give me something to pass the time...... I'd rather the people on this forum that are in my area and need help just need to dial.... and not worry that no one answers their posting for help in a timely manner. Just my preference.

If passing through Louisville, Ky. and are in need of assistance our family owned Bar and Grill is : Hitching Post Inn 7312 Fegenbush Lane Lou. Ky.40228 Phone (502) 239-4724
All of the employees have my number feel free to call me (Kevin) I live 10 minutes away and I have more trailers than Santa has whiskers including a rollback.
Oh and if you break down on a weekend night and you can limp the SS to the bar I'll probably already be there to buy you a beer ! ;)
I'm easy to spot, I'm the second ugliest one in the Bar. After all YOU just walked in ! ;) :D:D:D

I know that this thread is "old " but was there every a SS Rescue list done?

I know that the Goldwing Road Riders have their "Gold Book"

The Southern Cruisers have "Eagle Rescue"

The Harley riders have "H.O.G." or something like that.

What type of info do SS riders have as far as being broken down far away from home and needing help?

If you break down in Northwest Alabama give the Marion County Sheriff's Office a call and they'll put you in touch with me. We have a trailer and a few tools. Where there is a will there is a way! LOL
