Auto Transmission shifts to neutral at a stop and will not shift back to Drive, or to Reverse.

5 times today at a stop the transmission shifted to neutral. Only way to get back to drive was to shut down and restart. Sort of like Microsoft Windows. When it locks restart.
Maybe not related, but on first start of the day I sometimes have to go thru the step on the brake again several times. Sometimes I can press the blinking white start button and it will start. Has always started so far though.

Complete shot in the dark but there is probably a sensor or switch in the brake that might be going out. That is my only guess. Sorry I couldn't be more help. My recommendation though is to take it to the dealer and have them take a look. Lucky for you it seems like you can repeat this issue fairly easily to show them what's happening.
