SHIFTING PROBLEMS

I recently purchased a 2021 SS AutoDrive and the first time I finally had some good driving weather it did the same thing. We had to pull off the road and wait on a tow truck to take it back to the dealership. It's there now and we're waiting to hear the results of the diagnosis. I'd like to know how yours is functioning after the software update.

HIs post was about a year ago... I have a 2016 with a 5 speed.... I know that several have had problems with the 'auto' trans. Good Luck.

I had the same issue. I took the car the car to a dealer to get it fixed…the same day the car came back, I had the same issue.
Auto or stick... Stick check fluid and posible air in lines?

I have an automatic. I also noticed that the car was getting hot. I could feel the heat inside the car on the panel that allows shifting. I could also feel the car shifting. It took me over an hour to get home.
I have a 2016 with 93,000 miles of smiles in the seat. Sorry don't know anything about the auto.
The Slingshot is a warm/hot unit to drive and a warm tunnel area is common. There have been issues with the auto trans so get it into the dealer.

I've had an issue where the car will not downshift properly. This causes the check engine light to come on. Pulling over and stopping the engine seems to rectify the problem. I am going to take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. Any input is greatly appreciated.
What Slingshot do you have? 5 speed or auto?
