Micro-Start XP-10
I am thinking about purchasing one of these to keep behind the seats for emergencies. Have any of you guys had any experience with these? It is one of those deals that almost seems too good to be true. (Price is high - Walmart for $130)

That one certainly is priced much better. Have you had occasion to use it? The Micro Start video shows it turning over a motorcycle without a battery and a 6 cylinder truck without a battery NUMEROUS times on 1 full charge. Yours is $80 less and I guess I'm asking some of the gearheads if the Micro Start is worth the added expense. Consumer Reports rated it the best.

Just carry a set of jumper cables. MUCH cheaper! Cars are everywhere to provide a jump! 12 feet is plenty long & 6 gauge is a heavy enough wire gauge for the Slingshot (but I carry the heavier 4 AWG in my FJ Cruiser, 20' long; in my Scion FRS I use the AAA 16' 6 gauge set). Picked up this set off of Amazon for $13.95 & carry in the Sling (12' 6 AWG). You can stuff 'em in a bag & put under or behind one of your seats if you don't want to lose space in your storage compartments.

@Tripod you know I luv ya bro but you are a BATCHELOR!!! With all that my bride seems to feel she cannot live a few hours without - space for tools is just about limited to a 1/2 roll of duct tape and a multi tool on my belt!! I'm thinkin I might hide this in her makeup sack and she won't notice:p

I purchased one of these ($69, different brand) a little over a year ago, and have had several chances to use it. IT ROCKS! It really spins a motor over! I have had occasion to use it three times without recharging. The relative charge LEDs still indicated three of four. Following that, I bought several more for Christmas presents. I will never carry jumper cables in a vehicle of mine again. This is a smaller package and ensures that there is always a battery on the other side of my cables. I suggest recharging it every 6 months just to keep it topped off. I can't recommend these enough. Just don't over pay. Red's link above (7:26 PM, 1/28/16) would likely be a good choice.

I use the Lightning Pak Ultra slim Lil Lightning - Lighting in a box
It's about the size of an IPhone. Works great, I've used it to jump a friends old Ford Explorer a few times, and charged my Phone as well. I was very surprised how easy it started his car and actually had little affect on the charge, still showed fully charged.
The Polaris dealer carried them and gave me a decent discount. $90

I bought the Anti-gravity micro start over a year ago. I carry it on our sleds, bikes and my sling. I paid close to $200.00 for it then I still feel it was worth it. It works!
I got the XP 5 (Micro-Start XP-5) about a year ago too. I've only recharged it like twice, I haven't had a chance to jump start anything yet but it does hold it's change a long time and it doesn't take up much room either.

Peak AMP 400 , acc. 12 volt car adapter, home AC adapter , jump start cables. how does this compare to others ?
The units I purchased last year were 10,400. I have used them on several occasions and they practically tip the car over spinning the starter. I have also used one for three starts without recharging. By the charge indicator LEDs it was just under half charged. Very pleased. $69 at Lowe's Home Improvement Christmas 2014. I top them off every six months.

It's an excellent product. The package will fit under driver's seat & can't slide forward during hard braking as there is a lip in the floor. Had a neighbor with a dead battery this weekend. He knocked on my door wanting jumper cables. I walked over with the XP-10 & he laughed & said no way will that work! He has an older Camaro with a built 502 he shoved in there. Starter solenoid just had a weak click. Hooked up the XP-10 & it fired up instantly...

Hey man don't let anyone talk you out of purchasing this Micro-Start. I have three of them. One in each of my vehicles and my SS. Would not leave home without it. I have jump started my company truck several times. Battery completely dead. Don't have to wait on it to charge the battery. Get right in and start the truck. You can get them for less than $130 bucks. I got one for under $50 bucks out of the Heartland America order mag. And Ebay. The $130 bucks will be well worth it though.

I own one for every vehicle I have. Wouldn't leave home without it. You can get them at any Harbor Freight for around $75 without all the extra attachments.
