I’m contemplating buying a Slingshot. Is there any way to connect a heater blower system from the manifold to the cockpit for some heat, to extend my riding season?

Another idea, the wife and I wear Hotwired 12vdc heated jacket liners and when it gets down to freezing the same brand gloves. Motorcycle heated gear is a bit pricey but probably a lot less than a manifold jacket, heating ducks and vent control. And, Welcome to the forum.

The way the Slingshot is designed most of us look for ways to COOL. I'm in Northern Indiana and ride when the temps are down to 35 with a heavy jacket and some 'longjohns'. I also have a 12v jacket liner that works great for long ride colder than that.

George 'rain' probably worse than snow for the Slingshot. Most of who have put lots on miles on out Slingshot turn OFF the ABS and Traction Control.. You as the driver want control NOT the computer. In our autos they tell us NOT to drive with the Cruise Control on, same type reasons for the Slingshot. The three wheels react real weird ---

Thank You, I have read that many times and will heed your advice. It's easy to understand with three wheels the traction control and ESP can be confused on slippery surfaces as standing rain, ice, and packed snow, and switch end for end which is a maneuver I don't care for on the street!

One of the first things I did on my SS was put in heated seats. The cooling is meh and the price is insane but they're pretty :) Super easy install only 15-20 minutes all the wiring is there on my 2024. Also plenty of heated motorcycle gear out there that you could plug in and wear instead of wasting heat to the open air.

When I go on trips I carry a heated jacket liner and a cooling vest. There have been days when I started in my heated liner and finished wearing my cooling vest. (48 in the morning and 106 when I got to my hotel) I also have heated gloves but would not buy them again. I tried them a couple of times and they make my hands sweat.

Depending what year SS you want to buy, newer models are wired for electric seats. I recall it includes 2021 2024. But these seats are really expensive. Snow mobile suit and 12v heated vest will be cheaper. Welcome to the Forum. I would suggest that you get your SS, drive it one cold season before spending $$$$.

They are crazy expensive. I paid $2700 I think after taxes for my 2024 should have added them to the original order for $1600. On the plus side the install was super easy and only took about 15min. Only3 screws per seat and all of the connections were right there. Cooling is useless but I still turn it on. The heating is nice and any price is worth it if I can keep my wife comfortable and not wanting to turn around and go home.
