Can anybody who has installed this setup give us your thoughts/feedback?

I'm thinking this is my best bang for the buck due to not having to purchase a $2000 exhaust system and would be happy with just 5-6 lbs of boost- especially having only 1 rear wheel (plus I'm just looking to making 4/5 gear more usable in passing)

Those guys are doing great work from what I am seeing online. Oddly I haven't heard any customer feedback, but their numbers in the half mile shoot outs are impressive.

Yeah, but to start with they put in upgraded injectiors and have a different cooling set-up as well it's set up for 1/2 mile run.
I would like real life feedback from a daily user or even weekend warrior.

You can confirm with them, but their last half mile runs were on a fully built engine, bigger injectors and pretty far from an out of the box kit. The kit is capable and for the price, right now, seems to be a good option for those that just want a little kick in the pants from stock. Other options are coming though...

I know there is a huge difference between their half mile sling and the kit being sold...it would be like comparing the DDM kit to what Rabtech is running. Miles apart.

For comparison, Rabtech is running our DDMWorks turbo kit with a custom exhaust, built engine and Haltech, the turbo kit he is using now is the race kit we sell on our website and is nothing custom - Slingshot Turbo Kit by DDMWorks

His old setup was definitely a weird combination of DDMworks, HAHN and Alpha all worked together though, that was a one off setup for sure!

Still bummed that the 1/2 mile event in Ocala was cancelled for motorcycles that was coming up, after going to the wind tunnel, we were really looking forward to trying some things at the event and shooting for another record, going to have to wait a little longer it looks like.

Had I not installed a Hahn Stage 2 turbo kit right after my warranty expired in 2017, I'd probably go with the ZZP turbo kit. Priced very affordably for the basic kit with options for additional performance. In my case, the basic kit would probably be enough as I rarely seem to get my Hahn system to go over 4 psi boost, even when trying to accelerate as fast as possible.

Installed the kit in my garage with my brother. I must say, I've owned turbocharged vehicles in the past and this ZZP kit is one of the most complete user friendly kits I've ever had. Everything from the last hose and bolt is included in the kit with very clear instructions. The most difficult part of the install is jacking the sling up and pulling the oil pan off with a crossmember in the way. I also had to notch the inside oil baffle to get the oil hung on the pan. Yes, this can be done in a regular garage but you will need plenty of space under the sling. I used 4 truck jack stands. You will also need to jack the tranny up to remove the pan. Other than that, it was all pretty basic install.

I must give Kyle with ZZP a HUGE shot out. He's been the most helpful person with any question I've had and has given me honest answers about expectations for the kit and my stock motor. He's definitely a wealth of experience and knowledge.

I've only driven the sling for about 100 miles on the kit. So far, I'm in love with the results. Sling moves like a whole new beast. In the first 50 miles of driving it, I quickly realized I need a way bigger wheel with more soft rubber in the back. I'm using the stock 20" SLE rim with the stock tire and it breaks loose in pretty much all gears

I'll be adding a wider 20×11 with a 335 tire once my wheel is fabricated from XO Luxury. I'll also be adding a new clutch kit as I highly doubt it will hold for another 300 miles. I'll add more info in a few days. Let me know what questions you guys may have.

So, did you install by yourself? With a group of friends? How much of a pain is pulling that oil pan and tapping it?

The ZZP kit is on my short list. In fact, it's going to probably be the very next mod on the SS after I pay off these other ones (Just bought a new 2019 - my 3rd Slingshot - and am having the dealer put full dress on it.).

Two brothers of mine, some hand tools and some good ol' elbow grease got the job done in about 8-10hrs of work got this done.

The oil pan will easily come off if you can jack or lift the sling enough for you to get under it. Remember its siliconed on there pretty well so you will need a rubber mallet to help knock it loose. The tapping part is fairly easy. Depending on what year sling you are doing this on, you will need to grind off a piece of the baffle plate inside the oil pan for the bulk heads to fit properly. Make sure to mark the exact measurement given to place the hole in the pan or else you wont be able to bolt the bolt back into the pan. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Yeah, I once put a lift kit on a Chevy Avalanche with some buddies. Got the front done in a couple hours, ordered pizza and beer for lunch. Took 5 more hours to finish the rear - for a job that have only taken less than 1.

Hey @Mambo, you feel like pulling that oil pan so everybody can how the tapped pan looks from the inside?:D:D:D:D:D Obviously, just kidding.
When I installed my Hahn Stage 2 turbo kit, I bought a pre-modded oil pan. When I first went to install it, my palm touched part of the gasket goop. I tried adding a little more to the area, but still ended up with a small leak and had to pull the pan, clean both mating surfaces and then reinstall the pan! Why in He.. Polaris didn't just use a removable rear support for the transmission/engine is beyond me. I guess it would have cost them a few extra Dollars, had they done so, but it seems to me a removable support would have made pulling the oil pan or replacing the clutch or transmission a heck of a lot easier.

I have a ZZ Performance Turbo with over 1000 happy miles since completion (about a Month). I did have KYLE at ZZP install the kit due to my busy work schedule. The SS preforms great and gas mileage has not changed unless I am on boost 6.5 #'s. KYLE is a great source of Knowledge and was very honest. I would recommend this set up to anyone who wants a bit more performance.
