Last of the wave 1 units are now spoken for.... I sill would love the opportunity to earn your business even if your not sitting first in line.

All additional units should now have similar ETA's, or at least the next 3 as it seems like Polaris wants to ship these things in 3 packs to save money. The day we receive MSO's for the first three units and payment is collected from their owners they will be registered with Polaris and wave 2 buyers instantly marked as "PRE-SOLD" in the Polaris dealer system triggering priority shipment. My completely hypothetical and unscientific theory is that getting multiple pre-solds for wave 2 will allow the quickest restocking shipments as Polaris will have a full load prioritized for me. This is not fact just a theory, I can not promise anything.... It's a good sales pitch tho right? ;)

I would guess over half... Hard to say tho, I'm guessing their are a bunch of small market dealers out there that haven't pre-sold any while at the same time the big guys in the south have pre-sold tons.
Would you, or any other dealer, have access to the database that list what units are available at which dealer once the initial units are delivered? If you do, would 'dealer trades' be something that dealers would be authorized or willing to try?

The short answers are Yes and Yes....

Now the more complicated answers.

I have a dealer locator tool that shows me what everyone has in stock but it is based on registrations which typically happens at the time the customer takes delivery or a few days later... So if a unit is spoken for or the dealer is lazy and does not register the unit with Polaris right away it will still show as available the same as if a dealer has not sold it to anyone.

(note: I am monitoring this tool as it will tell me asap when and where units start arriving at dealerships.)

Yes just like car dealerships we have the ability to transfer units whenever we want.. Its very common for ATV's, sidexsides, and snowmobiles as Polaris continues to add more options and color packages to the point no dealer can stock everything... In my experience, my customers always want the 1 single model or color i don't have, it never fails lol.

Both dealerships have to authorize the transfer so the dealer giving one away has to be cool with it... I have strong relationships with several dealers that I trade with a lot so we hook each other up... Other dealers would not even speak to me, it's a lot of politics. With these things being so sought after initially it's going to be very very hard to persuade someone to let me transfer one in, however I would sure as heck try if I had a customer with one pre-ordered and I did not have it yet... it would most likely involve some type of profit sharing or the promise of trading back the next one I got in.

Think of it in sports terms... I'll take your star player, but in return you get some cash and my future first round draft pick :p
