Hey Guys,

After recently officially becoming a Slingshot Dealer, I am happy to announce that we are ready to begin taking deposits for the Pre-Sale of 2015 Slingshots.

Please follow the link below for a quick introduction of who we are and what we do.

http://www.slingshotforums.com/threads/who-are-we-about-fixmytoys.454/

Our goal is to become a dependable resource for support as this community grows over time. This means everything Slingshot including parts, service, accessories, clothing, and even the purchase of new units. We don't just want to make a sale and run to the bank, we want you to come back and purchase another unit when that 300hp version comes out in 2 years ;)

After becoming the first supporting vendor of this forum a few days ago, I spent a good deal of time reading customer experiences with their local dealerships and Slingshot thus far. I was in shock and awe at the strategy being imposed by many dealers simply because there is a new product and demand far exceeds supply. Everyone has the right to run their own business, but up charging 5k over MSRP to me is just insane. Don't get me wrong, I do this for a living and I am here to make money... I run a business I have to make money, but I would much rather make a fair amount from 100 customers than an unfair amount from 10. If you live 1 mile or 1000 miles away I want to earn your business.

That being said, I am offering the following OUT THE DOOR prices exclusive to forum members for anyone wishing to pre-order their Sling Shot from my dealership.

2015 Slingshot Grey.......CALL OR PM FOR PRICE

2015 Slingshot SL Red.......CALL OR PM FOR PRICE

2015 Slingshot Grey with full SL conversion..... CALL or PM for price

Have a friend or friends on the fence?... we can chat buddy packs, give me a call.

Current Factory Financing offers available...

The Rules:

1. First Come First Serve... Like every other dealer my first shipment will be (2) SL models and (1) Base Model. As of today the best information we have from Polaris is Mid October. Once the first wave comes and goes I can confirm we will be able to mark additional units as "pre-sold" in the system allowing us or any other dealer that does it to get priority shipment on additional units. This could mean a week, it could mean Christmas, but either way a deposit puts you in line.... any dealer that tells you otherwise is making it up as of today. As units are reserved I will keep everyone updated as to where you stand in line if you booked today. My hope is that Polaris will get supply chains opened up very quickly but right now we just don't know.

2. $500 fully refundable deposit is due at the time of pre-order. This reserves your unit and can be withdrawn at anytime prior to purchase.

3. Prices listed are for a cash or financed deal only... Credit card can only be used for the initial deposit due to how bad they hit us with fees.

4. If interested you must send me a pm or call me at 586 430 1252 ext 107. As a sling shot dealer I can not complete any transactions for the purchase of a slingshot via the internet. What you are reading right now is an online advertisement for the purchase of a 2015 Slingshot locally at my dealership (Ball Equipment) located in Richmond, MI. I am not able to ship or deliver units, they must be picked up locally at this time.

5. It is not required but I would appreciate it if you loaded up on Clothing, Accessories, and Service parts if you decide to purchase from me while you are here ;)

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and thanks again for allowing me to be part of the community.

Chris, I know I have to speak for many members when I say thank you very much for your honesty and the information you provide to us all regarding the slingshot. It's refreshing to hear from a vehicle dealer who's willing to be so transparent with the dealer's side of the purchasing process. That being said, and I understand it's asking a lot but...would you be willing to share what the dealers invoice is on the slingshot? Thanks in advance, Glenn

I'm very sorry but as transparent as I am, some things just can not be shared. Or at the very least as a dealer, I'm not allowed to share them.

I didn't think so but it was worth a shot, that info would be a great bargaining tool. Not that I would expect to pay less than MSRP for a hot new product but would be nice to know exactly how much the dealer would be trying to take advantage of the customer with the inflated prices seen here. Thanks again for being a great first vendor and all you do!

I can guarantee that whatever you might guess it to be, if you cut that number in half and it would be pretty close. Take it easy on the dealers tho, don't get screwed but also don't be upset with paying a fair price and letting us make money. Between the mandatory showroom display pieces, Ipod Kisok, special tooling, and parts and accessories becoming a Slingshot dealer was a major investment for everybody. You want your local dealer to continue to have the line and fully support you throughout your ownership.

Thank for the opportunity to do business, I am currently working on availability and pricing for all of the slingshot accessories. Should have some more info very soon.

Check out what came in today ;)

I will also hopefully have a thread up today to take orders on Official Slingshot clothing, some will be available to ship immediately.

If your able to ship accessories that would be great. Maybe we could get a group purchase deal going on the full vehicle cover, and other accessories!
Yes as soon as they are available, we will be able to ship anywhere in the US.

Group purchases are what I do best, everyone wins ;)

Hi Chris,
I really appreciate your transparency, as I can't even get my local dealer to call me back about the Slingshot! Once I am ready, I will definitely check our purchasing my accessories from you. I wish I was close enough to purchase the Slingshot from you too!

Please don't get me wrong, I get it that every one needs to make money to survive and have a good life. In one of the other threads here, the member was saying that a dealer he's purchased from has never charged MSRP on any Polaris products he has sold and the SS is the first one he is doing so with. I'm assuming at MSRP you are making a fair amount and since you're charging a modest set up fee and the $960 for frieght your still making a fair amount and I don't begrudge you that in the least. My dealer is charging me MSRP, $1200 freight, which he said was his cost so he is lying to me and $130 prep, Rigging fee?? and fuel and oil. He's over charging me on the freight, which i will deal with when the time comes, and although its only $240 over, it's MY $240 that I could be spending on do dads. My motorcycle may also be involved in the deal and I believe he's low balling me on that as well. That is the only reason I asked earlier about the invoice cost for dealers. I too wish I was closer to you to purchase but alas I'm not. I'm also looking forward to some great group buys from you as well. Cheers!

No problem at all, this is what we do and what we are here for... I don't think it's to much to ask to simply do your job but maybe I'm crazy. Our entire industry is plagued with poor customer service and people are generally just to lazy to actually get educated about the products they are selling or take a few minutes to research a question.

I never understood why the add-ons are done like they are in this business... If I was going to screw you I would at least be straight forward about it and say "yeah they are really hard to get so I'm asking 28k for them"... a laundry list of fees is just more work and effort to me. Its true many Polaris products sell regularly below MSRP but they almost always some type of factory rebate or program attached to them and inventory levels are always much higher than dealers want so it alters the market, its kind of an apples to oranges thing. Also margins are better on other Polaris products than Slingshot to begin with. But yes I still believe that there is no reason to go above and beyond 960 bucks over retail and maybe some misc stuff like fluids or title work.

On Polaris ATV'S I charge a 25 dollar doc fee and that's everything... covers the 12 bucks for the title and rest goes to the full tank of gas I give to the customer. I eat the freight and the hour of labor it typically takes to set them up, but I can afford to do it because being really straight forward and fair with people allows me to make up for it in additional volume from word of mouth and customer retention. It's a simple strategy to me...
