this past weekend, three of the better know slingshot Racers went to Ocala to test and tune our slingShots legally and to actually see how fast a Slingshot can run. If you go to FB and some of the other forums, you can get more details on how we did, but here are a few links to videos and some pictures. I had wondered how @RABTECH was able to get to almost my top speed from the previous day of Saturday when he was the only slingshot running on the second day of Sunday.... Well, now we know after a official race photographer posted pictures from the two days of runs and when we compare Roberts setup on Saturday to Sunday, he appears to have "misplaced" a few body parts along the way.? That's good to know for our next match-up, I won't feel so bad when we debut the new racetrack only nosecone and rear fender setup we are working on for the next speed run!

Did you get the sling back together after Colorado?

Yep, did temporary repairs in Colorado for the drive back to FL.
Replaced everything on right front suspension, steering rack, radiator, cam cover, coils, cam phaser solenoids, etc. then drove it home. Almost finished with the 'cosmetic stuff' like windshield, roll bar, exhaust system, etc. and been driving the heck out of it.
Still my favorite thing to take a short trip to the store in town.

I have had my stock Slingshot over 130mph several times. In all instances I was coming down a mountain, but over 130, is 130.

Send me a check. I need the funds to rebuild another motor. :-(

I agree with you. According to the speedo, mine ran 130mph on a 1 mi.1/2 slight down hill stretch. It took all of it. But like you said 130 is 130 no matter how you slice it.

After ocala i made a smaller hood scoop and added a fender setup as well as the "mudflap" delete panels. Im enjoyingvthe look even more.

And October will be here sooner than later and if you ever wanted to see how fast you can go in a 1/2 mile.... the 20th and 21st will be the time...... I'll be there for sure!

October 20th and 21st will be the Big Race in Ocala, Wanna go Fast 1/2 mile challenge and if you kept up with the Three Players earlier this year, "StickerDick" and his Honda Powered S/C Sling set the time to beat at 130.5mph. This time, Three's da Life has decided to make it more interesting and will put up a Bounty of $500.00 cash to the fastest slingshot to run at the event in October.... and just so you "stockers" out there don't feel left out, Three's da Life will also pay out another $500.00 cash prize to the fastest "Stock" SlingShot. Stay tuned for the rules, where we will be staying, what other cool items will get tied into this and as ALL of you Three's da Lifers know, "Stickerdick" loves making trophies!... And for those of you guys and gals that raced in Coloradoi last year can attest, they are pretty nifity. You just don't want to win the "slowest" award! We don't give out very pretty "participation" ribbons!
