All members that have taken possession please locate the production sticker? What does it show for a production date? It should state mfg 11/2014, mfg 10/2014 or mfg 09/2014 and so on. Also, what is the vin number?
What month was it made and the Vin Number. Thanks.

FYI. The production sticker is located on the tubular frame work on the drivers side just in front of the seat. You actually have to step over it to get in the vehicle.

What do you guys think about posting any isuues you've had with the slingshot along with the manufacture date and number
so we could track the issues and see if there is a pattern related to manufacture the dates, production number or model etc.?

Maybe the Mother Ship could actually tell which employee had the heavy trigger finger on the glue gun when assembling the gauges and left those bubbles.......

There are several reasons to post date of production and the Vin number.
First , What is the lowest vin number we can find. There is a theory that the first 500+ units built in September and October are being held back due to retrofit or whatever reason.
Next, relationship to defects to date of manufacture.
Most of the information we find can only help Polaris improve the manufacturing process and quality.

That's a joke, right? I mean, you were kidding, right?
If you want to bury your head in the sand that's fine.. But consumers such as the members of this forum presenting the problems or issues that we are experiencing can only improve the SS. If Polaris knows that certain problems exist I believe they will address those problems going forward. Meaning the 2nd generation should not be experiencing the problems of the first release.

I thought that was what the Registry Menu item was for?

It provides a place to let members post information about their new ride and the story and particulars along with pictures of the new addition. It would be nice to have each post the Vin sequence, model, dates, and the story so everyone could find other members and their rides.
