Plugged drive into USB port in glove box…selected usb option on audio screen…message “connect to device blah blah”…I thought plug and select was all I had to do. What am I missing?

I have a 2016 and I use a Thumb drive for my music and it's just plug it in and hits USB on the selection key. Works great.

I just picked up my 2022 today my 19 came with a thumb drive my 21 and my 22 did not. I do know the USB port in the pocket under the dash is for apple play this might be connect for usb option because when I plug my phone Into it it gives me the usb so try that plug.
