I needed a daily driver and the Slingshot was my choice. Living in Lake Havasu, every day use should not be a problem as far as weather is concerned.
I took the wife for a ride, she absolutely loves it, as do I. (note to self: hide the spare key from her :>) )

My wife loves it too but she doesn't know how to drive stick!! Guess who isn't going to teach her?? This guy!!!

My wife bought ours, knows how to drive a stick like any man, but would rather just ride and look.

My wife can drive a stick just fine. I think she has more fun watching peoples reactions when we are out cruising.

Come June-Sept Lake Havasu weather will not be your friend if you're stuck driving your Slingshot during the day. You'll quickly feel like a rotisserie chicken!

I'm used to it, riding a motorcycle all year. Maybe that explains why my garage smells like KFC all summer.

Welcome to the club. The bay area was HOT this summer in the SS. I combated the heat with a stinger top and rear exhaust. It really made a huge difference. Happy modding and may your wallet sob sweet songs.

The wife too gave me the thumbs up to buy if I promised to sell off another toy/car. We made a deal and she loves that I am happy. She likes riding in it, though she can drive it... she chooses not too. I'm not even mad at her.

The SS arrives very soon and my wife is as keen as I am to get driving it.
Oh.... Most Europeans can drive manual (stick shift) vehicles, so we don't find it a big problem over in the UK. The only difficult thing is it's only available as LH Drive, but we can live with that OK..

Just going to have to pretend your a 'Dam Yankee'............and sit on the wrong side of the Slingshot. Your wife will love it She can sit on her side(passenger) and you'll just have to enjoy the view.

Rear exhaust is high on the list of mods. I haven't seen a top that I'm crazy about yet. Maybe there will be more choices by next summer. For now I will just use a beanie with a propeller on it for air conditioning.

We can both drive this way, wherever we sit.

On the positive side of things. It will be no real problem to us and we will be taking it over to mainland Europe, so it will be fine for some of the time.
