If you twist the doors just the rite way they will come out of their hinge.

Rab, you're blowing my mind right now. Can you replicate this in the locked position?

No I was working on mounting my stereo amplifiers. I was wishing I could remove the doors and i pushed them a certain way and they just lifted out.
Damn, my guess was you needed the extra storage room since you were going to let Santa borrow your s/s for his X-Mas eve trip so he could save time
Man, another added to the list of thing to look out for on quality issues...but the fun factor is a never quality issue! Thank for update..

I think you mis-understood.

This is a great surprise. When fully opened, you can tug on these to remove the covers. Several hinges are like this. The fist that comes to mind are the GoPro cover backs.

It will make the SS much easier to work on and could possibly help with aftermarket products for this door/area.
It may also help those of us that don't need all the leg room with storing a larger dry bag behind the seat on trips.

Yep. Just tilt about 5 inches open and pull from one side and they will come right apart.

Dude, he said, "If you twist the doors just the rite way they will come out of their hinge." That's gonna cause me to get into panic mode!
I've removed lots of things by twisting ever so slightly. The real question is how well things fit back later?:)

Laughing... b/c I think it's designed that way (to be removed). I removed mine as well for easy access for modifications. And you're panicking, thought you're being smarty pants.
Hey, any problems, and I want to be one of the first to know, so I can warn guys like you, Big Dog. ;)
Yea. They are desingned to be removed. And they go on pretty easy.

Hey Kip. Can you get me a price on two new doors. I am about to cut a 10" subwoofer hole in mine and would like to know how much they are so I can have another set in case i want to change them out later. I wont need the lock just the doors.
