That's all it takes to stun those big boys!:smuggrin:Wish I had pics. Was on Memorial Drive in Houston doing bout 35. Watched a black Lamborghini coming up in rear view on driver side. Then looked and white Ferrari slid up on passenger side. Kinda just checked each other out and guy in Lamborghini motioned for me "get it". I figured what the hell and we could go very far. I downshifted and that turbo kicked in and I left em like they were standing still...for about 200 yards. I was shutting down just as those big V12's were kicking in going by as a black and white blurr. Think they were pissed cause neither one stopped to say hi![]()
You should just tell her you could save the wear and tear on that 5th gear if you had a turbo.............Ok so rolled out with a Cam Am hit 100 in 4th gear with the guy right behind me until I perfectly zincronied 5th and sayonara Cam Am.:cigar:
But them my wife said " see you don't need a turbo"![]()
Roll it out .....and for 200 ft he will see your tail lights.I got smoked by a modded 1 series BMW coupe... I made the mistake of trying to run with him from a stop... Spun the tire shifting to second and he was gone... I could have at least hung with him with a rolling start...
The older 135i is a 3.0 inline 6 with a dual scroll turbo ......takes almost no effort to get it over 300hp and 300 ft. lbs. at the rear wheels .. combine that with a 7 speed dual clutch transmission and that's not even the M .......... we loved our M1 .... one of those "never should have sold it" cars.....Roll it out .....and for 200 ft he will see your tail lights.
True I lost 735il had it since new. A drunk hit my BMW head on with a 150 ford. Not a scratch both totaled. The older 135i is a 3.0 inline 6 with a dual scroll turbo ......takes almost no effort to get it over 300hp and 300 ft. lbs. at the rear wheels .. combine that with a 7 speed dual clutch transmission and that's not even the M .......... we loved our M1 .... one of those "never should have sold it" cars.....

Put you a Nitto 555 - it seems to do way better than the KendrasTook my chances against a Challenger RT from a standing start. Being turboed and still on the stock rear tire, I blew it when I spun the tire hiting 2nd gear. Grabbed 3rd, spun for a short time then it grabbed. At this time I was only 1.5 lengths behind him and held that position till we shut em down. He gave me a big thumbs up.
I needs me some traction BAD !
Noel threw my Kendras in the recycle binI certainly will do the Nitto. I just hate swapin em out with a couple thousand miles left on it.
But without question I'll have a new rear tire before we head to Maggie Valley.
Hummmmm I need ta go put on a smoke show somewhere !!! Hehe.
