Glad to hear your hood self-fixed.
After about 100 permanent fixes that turned out to be temporary, I finally permanently fixed it, permanently . I focused on what Bill had suggested early in my struggle of not being able to raise the hood from the front i.e. the importance of the hood being level. After many many trials and errors I permanently fixed it by adding two washers under the back hood bumper below the windshield. Probably never know how or why it didn't go on level. I replaced all the bent and broken parts from the shed collapse.
Got my renewal policy from Allstate after the post shed collapse, my policy went up 50% from $500 to $750 but since they gave $4,000 for labor to fix it myself, I'm not complaining.
