Whats is the warranty on the 2015's, and does this start from the day you purchase it? (can I wait till a few weeks before mine runs out?)

The Slingshot factory warranty is 2 years... The Polaris Protection Plans pick up when your factory warranty runs out and must be purchased while the unit is still under the factory warranty.

I did not read all replies so forgive me if u already answered this. Is this an original factory warranty? Is it honored by all dealers? I live in pa and I travel quite a bit.

Don't believe in extended warranties. Never have. I'll take the money they cost and stick it in the bank in the rare case it's needed.

My biggest beef with them is there are so many exceptions, exclusions, reductions and fine print that only a lawyer (who wrote them) can understand that they are worthless.

This is the OEM Polaris Protection Plan... Yes it is serviceable at any Polaris Slingshot dealership in North America.

Its bad math because it has to be, just home or car insurance.... Your paying for the peace of mind to not have to replace a large drive line or engine failure. Yes there are many exclusions but moist involve either wear parts that fall into the common sense category or maintenance items line changing your oil which also falls into the same bucket. The nice thing about the Polaris Protection plan is that it essentially is an extension of the factory warranty and is serviceable at any dealer in the country. It's also processed like a factory claim on the dealer side for an easy process.

If you did or are planning on any MODs like CAI, header, or exhaust .....dont bother WASTING your money on the extended warrenty unless you can put back all the stock parts before you put ANY claim in. Take it from someone with first hand experience. Lol

Yes it is to the new owner of the current SS when you sell it, I believe they charge a $50 transfer fee to do it.
