SLINGSHORTS FILM FESTIVAL
• We are
organizing a FILM FESTIVAL of short videos (2 - 5 minutes long) of your favorite SLINGSHOT rides, roads, and rituals. We will be screening all qualifying submissions at Sling Spring on May 20-22, 2016 at El Toro AFB in Orange County.
• As a feature documentary film producer, a few months ago, I started watching some very cool youtube videos by SS owners. I was moved to buy my own SS, then started shooting my own road trips, and thought it would be fun to compile the most beautiful and exciting SS videos from across the country. (also a great way to generate interest among SS groups and enthusiasts to organize their own road trips through some of the most picturesque roads in America. Indeed, we might create a sort of video AAASS tour book for the Slingshot! (< ;
• We invite you to submit your video(s) from the following (and other) categories:
>
water shots (oceans, lakes, rivers, etc.)
>
city shots (great cities like Denver, SF, New Orleans, NY; or out of the way spots; etc.)
>
mountain shots (Rockies, Sierras, Appalachians, Smokies, Adirondacks, etc.)
>
country shots (deserts, plains, rolling hills, etc.)
>
road shots (US 66, US 50, Az 666, NM 555, US 101, etc. YOU know the good ones!)
>
hood shots (your favorite 'hood; maybe where you want to live--or not!)
>
mug shots (people's reactions to your SS, etc.)
>
still shots (photo's of your SS at cool or famous spots, or showing off your mod's)
Submissions will be free (or nearly free) and accomplished through the largest online festival management organization in the world--Film Freeway--where you can find all the rules and instructions.
