Hey guys I got a shift light, not very good a electrical. Can someone explain this to me?

I'd connect your Yellow/Green wire from the shift light to the White w/Brown stripe wire on Coil 1. See pics.
The RED arrow in both pics points to the same wire.

I opened the wire loom leading to the coil so I could then solder the wire going back to the Shift Light 1-2" inside the loom and then wrapped the connection with electrical tape and then re-wrapped the end of the loom with fresh electrical tape in hopes of reducing moisture intrusion. If you need to lengthen the wire going back to the Shift Light, make sure you use stranded wire since its flexibility will make it less likely to break from vibration stress.

And what’s a good spot for the dash lighting in a 12 V accessory. I guess any of the dash gauges. And 12 volt would be?
Bear with me, not good with electrical😂
