I realize this is an old thread... Should be getting delivery on a 2016 SL any day now at Comox Rentals and Sports Equipment. I've gotten an insurance quote before placing a deposit and it's $ 1647.00 with full a discount for a North Island location. My question for you is what did you do in regard to mounting the full size plate for the front? I'm doubtful laying flat on the front wing is Traffic Act compliant and anything else seems to me would be simply butt ugly... Wonder what the fine is for running without one...

So Comox's shipment arrived this morning. Seems the financing fell though on a pearl white LE, the only one they're getting as it's a small dealership, and I get first crack at it. Should I or should I stick with Turbo Silver and a clear windscreen? Decisions, decisions...

I have no plate on the front. Police have checked my SS and never said anything.

Anyone willing to share the ICBC VIC code? I was given a temp when transferring from Alberta (insurance went from 650 per year to 1300 per year for worse coverage). Then recieved an under payment letter in the mail stating that there were multiple errors and I owed more money. They assigned a VIC of FCD976 to my red 2015 Slingshot SL. Called the dealer in Kelowna and they said to register it as a Roadster Car, but calling ICBC has left the conversation of. Beyond frustrating.

ICBC: Your Vic has been determined to be FCD976
Me: Why is it that VIC if the vehicle is not in the database? Just looking for an explanation as to why it changed since I was in your office for 4 hours when your first found the VIC
ICBC: Because the VIC was wrong it is supposed to be FCD976
Me: Where does that number come from?
ICBC: From you vehicle type, and yours is FCD976
Me: But its not in the database?
ICBC: No
Me: Then where does the VIC come from
ICBC: From the vehicle type
