Polaris has announced that it will invest nearly $10 million in capital improvements at its PG&A distribution center in Vermillion, S.D. The money will go to the installation of new material handling systems. The technology and equipment upgrades come as Polaris continues its global growth and commitment to lean operations. The 385,000-square-foot South Dakota plant, which was built in 1997, supplies more than 60,000 PG&A products to 130 countries, dealers and distributors. The installation of the new systems is expected to be complete by December 2014.
