Holly smokes those tires are expensive. Anyone know the life expectancy? Dropping $300+ bucks every 5,000 miles is going to get old quick.

5000-6000 miles and $300.00 per tire is a pretty regular occurrence for a Hi-output Harley Davidson.

If being used for commuting or just running around town You'll get a lot more mileage out of this tire. If you're gonna push this thing to the edge on regular basis. Be ready to replace this rear tire every 3-5K.

I'm buying this to make me smile, Some smiles are more expensive than others.

Hey gang, I read in another thread that the tires are kenda kaisers. Could they really be kaisers if the price for the rear tire is 300 bucks? Almost makes me think there's a different compound in these. No way would printing slingshot on the side account for that price jump.

Edit: kaisers are readily available in 20 inch for 70 bucks

I'll bet money they are Kaisers, with a specially designed word on the sidewall. But I can't prove it.......Yet.

It was mentioned at the show that the tires were specifically designed for the SS

Polaris (and others) always mention things.

Personally, I can't wait for a tire comparison that embarrasses those stupid Kenda's. We'll really get to see how special they are. The person who decided those "proprietary" tires should be worth near a thousand bucks a set should be slapped in the face. I'm not talking any old slap. Not like an open hand slap from an offended woman. I'm thinking a huge Austrian power lifter needs to slap them across the face with a huge rubber penis.......And leave a bruise.
