also comes with a nice bag for it with the ss logo on it... I think i have like 8 or 10 of them here and available now. Great looking helmet, just a bit pricey

Yea, the base SS comes naked. Only the SS SL comes standard with a blade windshield. That may be what Chris meant when he posted before.

On the Canadian side there is a rearview mirror in the center of the windshield. It was the only way Polaris could have pass certification, I think it's the same thing for California and some other states.
I think it needs to be clarified

Many vehicles dont have a 3rd mirror or center mirror.
Trucks, cargo vans, and motorcycles.
The law is 2 mirrors, at least in Illinois.

But the question was , does it or does it not come Standard with the bleed windshield?

When I looked at the picture of the Canadian model with the rear view mirror installed it looked like one could be mounted even if there were no windshield. Now, I cannot be 100% sure so as you say maybe a dealer could confirm that this is the case for Canadian base models as well.

Here is the correct answer from the Canadian Slingshot page, the windshield is still optional, but it still doesn't show the mirror, It seems strange that they would install a windshield bracket to install a rearview mirror which can only get blown around by the wind, without installing some sort of windshield too.

This is correct, Base model (grey) comes naked.... SS (red) comes factory with a w/s.

Yes I believe you should be able to find it on the parts finder and order it anytime... just go to the sl model.
