Dear Polaris Slingshot owner,

Our records indicate that you are the owner of a Slingshot affected by Safety Recall T‑19‑01which was announced on October 22, 2019.

Polaris Slingshot has determined that the vehicle’s electrical current requirements may exceed the capability of the battery fuse block terminals under certain conditions. Excess current may lead to terminal damage, resulting in a loss of forward and rear lighting, instrument cluster, or power steering assist, which could increase the risk of a crash. A letter will arrive at your address by postal mail that provides more information about the update and what you should do next.

Please visit our On‑Road Safety Recall page to verify if your Slingshot is impacted by this recall. Your local Polaris dealer can be found on our Dealer Locator page. Contact your dealer to schedule a service appointment or complete a transfer of ownership if you no longer own the vehicle.

While your dealer is in the best position to answer your questions, you can also call our Owner Connections department at 1-800-POLARIS (1-800-765-2747)to speak with a representative.

Sincerely,

Polaris Slingshot

Well, this looks like just as good of a reason as any to plan a day doing a lil cross country adventure to the dealer, (200 miles.) I'll be calling tomorrow to get all of the particulars!

I just got off the phone with the dealer and they will be letting me know when parts arrive.

Has anyone received their recall letter yet?
We received an email from Polaris about this recall several weeks ago, nothing by snail mail to date. The dealer called today to let us know that the parts are in.

Same here, my dealer said they received some of the repair parts but were using those on current inventory. Next batch will be for customers. Maybe next week.

Recall arrived today. 5 degrees this morning and 3 forecast for tomorrow morning. I might wait a day or two . . 3 or 4 or 5 months.

Parts are in, morning temps are running in the mid-20's, but afternoon temps are rising to the 70's. Since at least one SlingShot without added accessories allegedly burned, we may make the six hour round trip tomorrow just to git-er-dun!

We have been procrastinating about doing this, however, we just received our 2nd notification for this recall. We have been waiting until the dealer got in a 2020 to check out, but it does not sound like that is going to happen any time soon. So, with the forecast looking decent, I think we will just go ahead and make the appointment and do the 400 mile round trip to the dealer next Friday, (5/29), to git-er-done.........................maybe?

Had the recall done last week, but still got the second notice yesterday. Takes awhile for them catch up.

Did you wait while it was being done? How long did it take?

Haven't had mine done yet but everybody is saying that if they have a clue what they are doing should be less the one hour. I do need to get in to Lake Villa 120 miles for service & recall work.

Thanks, I need to call and schedule mine in and wait for it to be done. Luckily for me, a good friend lives near the dealer and will usually pick me up and we go out for breakfast or lunch.
