This is a very common thing to happen in any engine. This is what causes your underside of the oil cap to look like this.

Moisture will just build up naturally from condensation in your engine . To prevent the sludge or build up of moisture trapped in oil make sure your vehicle is brought up to temperature and driven for a good amount of time. This really only happens if you make a short drives allot and your vehicle never really gets hot and you shut it down and it sits allot. If your vehicle is ran up to temp and long enough any moisture will burn off and evaporate before it has time to sludge.

Can also be a sign of a bad head gasket or poorly functioning venting system:p
