The switch mounts on the dash. Mine came with the unit. It looks like the factory switches. The unit is in the cubby behind the radio.
For best results, secure the module with the wires facing FORWARD. It gives the strongest signal with that orientation. I called the factory rep, and he told me to do it for better performance.

OK, since I'm new with the SS, how do you get to the "cubby" behind the radio? My opener did come with a switch, so once I know how/where to mount it, I'll get busy! How long does the battery last in the transmitter unit?
You have to take the radio out. There is a generous space behind it.
It’s easy brother, the unit just unplugs and you can put it aside. Just don’t put your radio back in upside down!
The ad says the battery lasts 4 years. I’ve had mine in there all of 3, and have not changed it yet.
Removed steering wheel to remedy the clicking noise coming from beneath
1 - the clock spring has three little prongs ( feet) on the bottom - do these fit into the steering-wheel sensor mounted behind ( below) it ????

I have a 2016 ss and my brother has a 2018 SLR. I noticed that he can turn off amd on his traction control with his button but i cant with mine. I pulled my switch out and there is no wires hooked to it at all. What color are the wires that are supposed to go to it and how do i fix this...
