High Hanging RPM's

This might be related to the other discussion around the stalling from 2nd to 1st. But its a slightly different thing so I wanted to see if others see it as well.

When being a bit aggressive after pressing the clutch in and letting off of the gas I notice the RPM's hang, at whatever RPM it was before until you actually make your shift. (Its nice as you don't have to rev match etc, but its VERY odd and keeps hanging at a very high RPM with no load.)

ANyone else seeing it. Blipping the throttle doesn't seem to improve it either. (I let it go for 4-6 seconds before I gave in and shifted.) My dealer is going to contact Polaris about it.

Called Polaris and got the issue documented for mine as well. Will contact dealer and give them a heads up.

I drove mine and trained it not to do it, or you might say it trained me. I must say since the 2016 ECU flash last week it hasnt done it at all........solved? only more time will tell. Going to the rockies tomorrow (3 1/2hr drive) so I will know for sure.
For me , after the 350 miles this weekend I would say fixed the flare after the flash. But..........I did lose some snap and throttle response 1-3 gear.......disappointment. But.........had side exhaust and CAI installed by alpha and Iam totally happy again. Like Trav mentioned to me, the flashes may include updates that function better at different altitudes. I start at 6,500 and go up from there.
With the flash and no mods , it did seem to let you rev it longer 1-3 gear but still seemed boggy. A improved performance in 4th, and with the mods a big big improvement in 4th gear. Hope that helps.
