hello all,
finally purchased my first slingshot yesterday,and fell in love with it right away. however, it was extremely hot, and after a few hours of riding, got home and the wife said I looked like a lobster lol. ended up with some pretty bad burns all along my arms and neck. so now after one day of use, I feel that I will need a top as the sun in Arizona seems to keep it over 100 degrees 8 months out of the year so the question is (sorry for the rant) what would you guys recommend? kind of on a budget after the big purchase literally yesterday lol. looking at the 2 on slingmods.com right now that are right at 1500 each. but leaning towards the cloth one as I think it looks better in the pics from what Ive seen. any pictures you guys may have or insight would be greatly appreciated!!! thnx!!!

use the search function and follow discussions ; there are several and they all have followers who like them. Heres one with noel from cycle springs standing on the center piece . He has the tops reversed cuz thats how he rolls sometimes.

Are you leaning more towards a Hard Top or a Canvas Top?

It's going to be hard finding a top to match that absolutely stunning paint job(wrap?). I'm in the market too. Until then it's sunscreen and Motocross jerseys.
Twisted Dynamics has three models that I know of. (a) The soft top (~$1600),

a (b) hard top based on the soft top frame (~$2000),

and a (c) gull wing hard top(~$2300).

All mount pretty much the same way with the same amount of head room. The hard top piece can even replace the soft top. They also have a mesh soft top.

The (d) Bullet and Speed ($1500) is a lot like the Twisted Soft top, just a little different in the back and how it mounts. Not sure if it's any taller.

The (e) Fab Factory Panoramic ($1550) is a lower profile hard top.

The (f) Madstad Stinger ($2000) eliminates the A posts and come off easily, leaving only the centerpiece.

The (g) Polaris Slingshade ($3000) rounds out the group,

Haven't got to see much on this one. It looks like headroom may be slightly less than Twisted, but it's hard to tell the way it domes up.

those are all great options, really hard to choose lol. I think I might go with the cheaper soft top in plain black as it will probably look the best on my setup. really like the idea on the one without the a frames but not too sure how I feel about the look. thnx so much for showing me all these. made this a lot easier!

I have a Twist Top that is Black frame with all Black Top. It is the Gen 2 version which comes in 2 pieces. I am looking to sell mine. Ill get rid of it for $1k including shipping. If that is something youre interested in, please PM me for more details.

that wrap tho ... fantastic.

I got the v-back top, it does the trick for sun (mostly). That + long sleeves (nylon fishing shirt, Columbia). It adds noise on the road tho.

Ordered the Madstad 3 weeks ago after looking at every top I could find. I like the cantilevered look without the frame in front. Adjusts vertically 3 inches for tall riders. They have some informative videos at Slingshotonly.com.

I keep looking at it, but my brain just keeps saying there's something wrong with the look. I really wanna like it as its a great design lol but something just feels off. I think bc it's so different I just can't wrap my head around it.

Jay2 offered you a good deal, The Twist tops are nice, Ive had mine on since 2/15 and never had it off. It will also hold a Thule Carrier on top for a trip.

If Teslalyfe doesn't want the top from Jay2thaC, I'll take it. Since he started this post, He should have first crack, but I think it would look great on my white LE.
