I know some of you may think I'm an idiot for this, but I was wondering about how the 'Slingshot' word badge on the rear center fin is affixed. I usually remove prominent identifier words stuck to my vehicles, but it's not always possible. If it's just stuck on with easily removable adhesive, it's gone, but if its painted over with clear coat or held on with any sort of screws or holes into the body panel, I'm just going to leave it alone.
I'm gonna try some adhesive disolver on an inconspicuous spot. It's worked on all my Kawis, I'll see what happens with the SS. I'm also a bit picky about the fact that on opposite sides, the badges are oriented differently. I'm a stickler for symmetry.
I never noticed it until you brought it up.
You are totally right, thank you for pointing that out.
The easiest way to remove any double-sided adhesive (3M for example).
Use a fishing line and put it between (The part where it's sticking).
It Will not damage the part that you are trying to remove, it will always keep the same shape just as it was brand-new.
You can use 3M double-sided To stick it back on.
I run my bike at 200 miles an hour, 3M never failed me
