Just bought a new white Alcom 8.5x20 ez hauler trailer with beavertail, spread dexter axles, upgrade custom wheels, screwless sides, he works. Got it home and tried to load my 2022 R and it's 1/2 inch too wide to fit between the inside wheel wells! Any suggestions?? What enclosed trailers are other people using to transport these beautiful machines? Daytona Beach area.

Check to see how much room there is from the inside of the trailer tire to the wheel well. A friend had very wide wheel wells on his 8.5 enclosed so he had a shop cut a 2 inch strip out and re-weld. Gained him 4” overall.

I know this isn't what you'd want to hear and it's a PITA, but the bolt pattern on the slingshot wheels are real common 5 on 4 1/2" You could find a pair of narrow wheels with less offset and swap them out to load/unload the trailer. It shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes each time to do it and it saves you from having to try to sell the trailer you just bought and buying another one. Just a thought, Most monster trucks have to do this and it takes them a hell of a lot more time to make the swap.

You may could get the room you need with swapping one from wheel. But I'm would think there is room between the trailer wheels and wheel well to reduce the wheel wells more than an inch or so to give you the room you need. Hope things work out for you let us know.

The Factory engineers have the trailer as we speak and are analyzing the situation. I will repost when they come up with a solution. Until then, does anyone have a suggestion for a trailer that does work??

We've got a Stealth 24' enclosed for sale. Fits 2 Slings. About 2" between wheel wells (1" on each side). You CANNOT run wider rims than stock (unless the offset is such that the overall width is the same). This is why many people are having trouble fitting into enclosed trailers.

I have the original V-Cave from Slingthing Trailers.
Love the trailer!!
Customer service sucks, sucks bad.
I'd by the trailer again anyway.
I put 20" X 9" wheels with a 35mm offset up front on my SS.
Tires are 255/30 ZR20's.
It fits in there just fine.
I'm 2"3" wider than stock.
Just read where you can order a wider one from them this year. I believe it's 2" wider, which is a ton.
These trailers are built by ATG (Aluminum Trailer Group) in Ocala FL. Tom is the owner and builder of these trailers, and he's a wicked nice guy.
My hot customer service comment was directed towards Slingthing, not ATG.
For a custom built trailer, they come in at a fair price.
100% Aluminum, no wood at all. They are made to order.
So get your order in early, and make sure you tell them..... EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT,EXACTLY!
