I bought a 2022 SL and the Polaris tune for it. I'll have it installed this month. I was told from a no BS tech that you will at least feel a difference in the mid range. Has anyone dynoed an S, SL, or SLR, R and seen any dyno charts on these newer models with the Polaris engine? Same engines but rated at 178hp and 203hp? I've had sports cars all my life (61yr old here) and I find it hard to believe that a naturally aspirated engine will gain 25hp from a tune. Turbo cars that and more, but this?? Thanks for reading.

I think its more a matter of they take away 25hp with the lower tune. I found it curious that the higher output actually hits peak at lower rpm (250 rpm lower i think). I haven’t made sense of this yet, valve and ignition timing changes usually increase the rpm of peak torque.
I’m a little curious if part of the “tune” is simply how far they’re allowing the throttle to open.
