I know I keep throwing newbie tips at you.... but here's another one!
You can get a neoprene face mask that will do a good job of blocking the wind. I also use motorcycle goggles on my sling... they are the bifocal variety so I can read the instrument panel...

hey listen, I am down with the newbie tips. And I am down with staying warm. My sister-in-law suggested a onesie ski suit so that I could extend my season lol I’m seriously considering it🤣

I have a 12v heated seat pad I use once in a while. Plugs into the cig lighter (new a new name).
I also have a Gerbing 12v jacket liner for longer outing.
