Seeing its considered a Motorcycle do we need to wear the seatbelt or no?
@TransporteRR since you are in Canada , you must follow the rules and regulations of your province, if you ever cross through a different province, you must follow Their regulations and so goes if you go to the US; you follow the regulation of the state you cross through.Seeing its considered a Motorcycle do we need to wear the seatbelt or no?
I actually wish more states would be less "big brother." .......That said, I use my safety equipment. In Florida, they haven't kept up with the times. Since it's a motorcycle, no helmet is required and as motorcycles don't have seatbelts, you are not required to wear one. Driving a convertible auto, no eye wear is required, but again, since this is a motorcycle, you do have to wear glasses here. Not a lot of common sense in these laws.
Like you for just giving this answer, i never said i wouldn't i simply askedYou are stupid if you don't.
Then... why ask it? Might as well ask will the SS keep me safe in a 10 MegaTon Blast, or if it will make a decent Time Machine. :astronaut::vulcan:Like you for just giving this answer, i never said i wouldn't i simply asked
Well you guys wear these super protective helmets already, I can understand it.Asked the WI St Police about the seat belt law and was told it does NOT need to be worn in the land of cheese.
Good stuff, shame it doesn't take effect on June 10...North Carolina gov. Just passed a law that as of October.1,2015. Slingshots are now autocycles, that need no helment and can drive with a regular car drivers license..hoorah to NC lawmakers
Regardless I'd always wear eye protection. Sometimes u can feel the dirt from other cars on my for head etc. Yah I don't wear seat beltIn Florida, they haven't kept up with the times. I read articles that My state did not want to approve it because it was not a bike so I'm sure alot of people wanting them had to wait. I'm glad it all worked out. I was always into sport bikes but bad anxiety made it not enjoyable anymore and long rides is not comfortable. I drove a friend's I bought one with in 2 weeks. I'm now trading in my bike for the 21. Now I only have to wait for warm weather as I live in ct winter and snow need to stop spring needs to come.Hee hee, yea, I am sure that many, if not most, of the folks around here today don't even have a clue about all the trials and tribulations we went through when the SlingShot was first introduced. And maybe I shouldn't be talking because we were latecomers having purchased ours in may of 2015.
Speaking of, here, (Slingshot History - Concept to Reality), it says the very first models were "S" and "SL", I recall the lower model being referred to as the "Base" model?
