Hey all, I just wanted to make a thread for those of us in Colorado and Wyoming, I plan on riding both states. I know having a Wyoming exclusive thread would probably not have a lot of traffic, so I decided to group them. I'm currently living in Thornton and look forward to riding with you all!

I went to Grand Prix last Saturday and Fay Myers today. I guess RPM has them, too, but I didn't want to deal with traffic just to see what I've already seen and to be told test drives are for buyers only

Each dealer had two SLs when I visited, though one at Fay was just sold when I walked in. Fay has some base models on order and try to keep two SLs in stock while selling the others.

Grand Prix's demo was damaged during a demo ride. A ladder fell off the truck in front of the customer and it broke some plastic. It is not available to test ride until fixed. That means it MAY be available for demo drives to people like me, ones that aren't quite ready to buy yet. Fay won't give demos unless you're 90% sold.

My point is I really WANT to demo one so I will see if Grand Prix's is fixed. Though I'd gladly go for a ride in yours if the offer stands!

I just put a deposit on an SL at Grand Prix, and the wrecked one you spoke of was not fixed as of today. I am also interested in a ride if anyone is interested in giving one. My biggest question is whether I will be disappointed in it's acceleration and general power. I realize its not motorcycle fast (rode motorcycles on track for several years) but Grand Prix is only giving me 5 miles to drive it and decide if I keep it or not. Honorably I wouldn't spend those 5 miles trying to light up the tires.

What's the skinny on the best deal in CO on pricing? It seems like quite a few dealers are doing no freight and setup fees. Which dealers in CO are remaking sales without these fees?

I am looking at the base model.

Not a current owner, still making considerations. But a friend who I haven't had a chance to talk to yet had posted up a turbo being fabbed at his work..... a local high end shop. Anyone on here?

Considering the shop and Jon (fabricator) who is doing at least some of the work, I am pretty excited to hear about what the specs are and what they are hunting for.

If there is one thing that I do to my SS, it will be a turbo. Coming from a WRX and transitioning from tracking sportbikes (nice avatar @Slo ) it's missing some power thru the high RPMs.

Any other info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jookyone, your avatar is great as well haha. Jon has quite a few years of fabbing behind him and has done some excellent work on a couple of my previous cars along with a long list of friends vehicles. Obviously this kit is in its infancy stages but damn I am excited to learn more about it.

I hear the difficult part for those working on kits so far is in tuning the ECU. Maybe Harvey (The Boost Creep) will add the Slingshot to the list of vehicles that he is willing to tune, I hear he does great work. Maybe I will drive the SS up to his shop and let the vehicle convince him with its dashing good looks.

What are you doing today? If you want to drive one, I can meet you somewhere and let you take mine for a spin. Just crossed the wear-in threshold and it was certainly frustrating trying to get behind the wheel pre-purchase (never happened).

I live in Littleton, CO and I can drive anywhere. I am likely headed up to Harvey's shop after 2pm, so anything between here and there (Longmont, CO) is fair game.

If you don't have any company, wouldn't mind tagging along.... I work in DTC but live towards DIA, maybe easier to meet you somewhere off one of the highways along your way and back? I don't need to drive yours but it would be nice to get an extended ride along....
