We have been super busy, but finally had time to test some custom cams we had made for us and the results were pretty awesome.

For those that are not super familiar with the cams on the LE5/LE9, the cams have integrated passages in the front that allow oil to flow up to and back from the cam actuators on the front of them. This VVT mechanism is really a nice benefit, but because of the passages in the front of the cams, cam blanks are not available. This has left the options for cams in the past limited to reducing the base circle on the cams slightly, which does increase lift, but does not really change duration much. The duration is what is going to allow the engine to breathe in the upper RPM range and is what we were after with these cams, since it also complimented the power profile of the Rotrex supercharger also. The custom cams we had made for us increased the duration of the intake cam 19 degrees and the exhaust cam duration was increased 25 degrees overall. This allowed the engine to breathe much better on the top end of the RPM range with some drop in torque in the lower RPM range, which was the tradeoff that we were looking for, the end result was 358HP at the wheels @10.5PSI.

We will be posting up more information on the pricing and install of these in a little bit. These can be installed on an otherwise stock head also without any modifications.

As always, if you have any questions, just let us know!

Dave, how will this cam be with stock motor, CAI, Header, Trio exhaust, & Bob's Tune?
Not sure yet, we hope to get it on a naturally aspirated car to see how they do, but we are guessing around 10-15HP at the wheel with those mods. These are really designed more for the supercharger setups, but should add to the naturally aspirated setups also. They will not be good for the turbo setups though since turbos will need different specs than these.

Nice experimentation... Though I am confident your experience aids in experimenting with the SS.

You really are making it hard to stay NA. Ugh.

Maxed out our Supercharger it looks like at 381HP and 396 ft/lbs of torque at the rear tire with the new cams installed and spinning the supercharger a little faster to make some more boost. This run was made at 12.5PSI -

They are still in the testing phase for the supercharger cams. Turbo cams would be later.
Understandable. All I ask for is a follow up call or email. I guess stock it is for me. I'm not begging anyone to take $10,000 plus from me. No disrespect to them at all. I'm in business. No matter how covered up you are, a courtesy follow up call, or email takes 60 seconds. Period.

Don't feel bad, I have already paid them and they won't return my emails. - :(

Hey there everyone.

Sorry for the delay getting back with everyone for the past 7-10 days. My uncle had Stage 4 cancer and went into ICU, then Hospice and passed away during that time. Me and Ivy have been traveling back and forth to Atlanta quite a bit and also spending a lot of time there with family and that left only Jefe here to try to keep up with everyone while we were gone. We are just getting back today from all of that and working to catch up on the emails, forum messages and phone calls that we missed while we were gone.

Thanks for understanding,
Dave
