What upgrades were done to the motor? Have you guys swapped any cams for the supercharger application?
This build has one of our built engines with the Molnar rods and Wiseco Pistons with top and side coatings -

Built Slingshot 2.4L Engine by DDMWorks

We have another set of cams we will be testing in about 2 weeks that should work better with the stock tune, the set we have been testing is very aggressive and needs a custom tune from Bob, we are working on that also.

I know I'm new to the forums but I work at a test facility that tests all kinds of vehicles and engines and your work is impressive and very thought out.

We have some very talented and high quality builders here. Check out DDMWorks site, Alpha Powersports site and certainly not last or least, RevDynamics site.

All three doing some really high quality stuff for us. ;-)

It's very different from the freestyle jetski world.
Agree. It is an unusual phenomenon in the niche vehicle world and one which I have analyzed and watched carefully and here is my take (not taking anything away from any other niche vehicle/owner relationships).

I think when the Slingshot was announced some very astute vendors said "Hmmm, this could be something. It's off the charts different and gathering a lot of interest".

When you look at it from the most basic demographics, you have a machine that is appealing to a primarily over 40 consumer who has disposable income to spend on something that is not a bike, it's more car - but not a car, and falls into that "toy" category. Sort of. You also have people in that demographic who are bored with sports cars, bored with cruiser motorcycles and tired of doing two up the hard way on a bike. Lets face it - if you have a bike and have a rider on the back it is not optimum for a shared experience.

So marketing economics kicks in and vendors realize that the majority of the people buying these vehicles are not living on the fringe and want go-fast and comfort goodies and have the money to back it. And the SS really does have an almost cult-like following.

Contrast that to the younger buyer who has stretched his/her limits buying that new Jet-Ski, ATV or motorcycle and you have fiscal demographics 101 kicking in.

Try to think of one aftermarket mod you'd like to do to your SS that you can't find. Double-Dog dare you. Doesn't exist. :) Whatever you want' it's out there.

Just my hypothesis of course but pretty sure I am on track there.

Challenge accepted.
I want to relocate the exhaust to the back and kick out the passenger area to give them more footroom. Anybody doing that?
I want a tighter steering box that I don't have to spin my wheel around twice to make a hairpin turn.
I want a shorter rear swingarm to help with the traction problem (or someway of moving the CG back). or,
I want All Wheel Drive.

Come on aftermarket gods, help me out!?!

Damn brother!

#1) That sounds like the mod West-Coast Customs did on Shaq's SS. Even moving the exhaust (and I am going to assume you are talking the muffler) I am not sure how much you would have available to kick out. Sounds like an awful expensive endeavor for a few inches?
#2) If the factory EAS system could be re-geared that might be do-able. Not cheap, but doable. Just wonder how twitchy it would become? I already find the steering on mine pretty sensitive.
#3) Get a fat, sticky tire back there. Now that my 345 Toyo via Roaring Toyz Fat and Fast package is scrubbed, it doesn't spin nearly as much as the stock Kenda. Whole different ballgame. :)
#4) Hedge Hog and I discussed when we were drinking and brainstorming. And yes, the SS with all wheel drive would be epic. Would love to see somebody take a wrecked Audi Quattro and Frankenstein the front drive train to an SS.
