Since installing the SC on my SS the rpms fall VERY slowly when shifting. So much so that it makes it sound as though you don't know how to drive a stick. Sometimes when gearing down coming to a stop you can push the clutch in and coast to a stop and the rpms will still be at 2k once you stop and then slowly decrease down to the usual 1k. My questions is:

Does the BOV have anyting to do with this problem or is it likely in the tuning of the ECM?

Hi Ghost, I am experiencing the same issue. Also, when I first start it up some times, the engine revs like i was pressing on the gas pedal. Have you resolved your issue?

Yes, the new tune by @[email protected] took care of 90% of it. It is like riding a different sling. It is more drivable now than it was new.

Mine had the issue from the factory. Keep in mind that it only had 891mi on it when I pulled the drive train out and started modifying it. @[email protected] tune has made a huge difference and it now drives like it should have from the factory. All that being said I'm not certain that they have made a tune for the N/A slings like the one they now have for the boosted slings. A quick call to Dave could answer that question. Even if I had never boosted my sling, if I had known that there was a tune out there that would make that much difference in overall drivability I would have gladly paid the price. It really is night and day different.

I had my SC for about a month now and don't have this problem. What I do have is it makes a bird chirping sound until it warms up after about ten minutes of driving.

Mine also does that too. But not real bad. Just blip the accelerator and shes fine. The real problem is that my mpg calculator has messed up. Does not calculate correctly. Says im getting about 8 to 10 mpg more than it actually is. Has anyone experienced this problem? That being said, with the power it has now I would do it all over again. I am 3-0 in roll on drag races. 2 vets, 1 GT MUSTANG and not the sissy mustangs.

what year is it. mine is a 18 with the ride command and you can set the volumes to gal. gal(uk) or liters and that screws with my mpg. I get kids with their Subaru wrx's all the time trying to run me, they don't stand a chance. the other day the guy in front of me with his porsche looked like he wanted to run but lucky for me I checked mirror and saw the police car behind me or I would have my first ticket in 30 years

The fuel issue relates to the fuel injector size and pulse rates. Because bigger injectors are in the vehicle, the pulse rates are lower. This confuses the computer in thinking you have used less fuel and the higher numbers appear. If you went 80lb injectors the number would go even higher.

Mine is a 16. I will check this info out. But I haven't changed any volumes. Started as soon as I left the shop. I done the same thing with the cops. It sure feels good to see the looks on the faces of the losers. By the way, I named my SS " THE GIANT KILLER" with David and Goliath AB on the hood which I did myself. It has David sling the stone at the giant. I also have the rear brake light with this logo in it.Thanks for the reply. Happy hunting!!!!

I haven't done any research on it. I would think that anyone that could reprogram the ECU to properly fuel a boosted engine would be able to re calibrate the ratio used to calculate the fuel milage.
Not the case at this point. There is not a selection for injector sizing that Bob has found or messed with yet. Otherwise everyone would have been switched over, because almost all kits use the same size bigger injectors for boosted setups.

Maybe Haltech guys can do these easily, but there is no current solution for the stock ECM.

Funny you mention GT Mustangs. I had a guy pull up beside me and tell me I had a really bad manifold leak. So ...when the light turned green, he left quickly. I got up beside him at 40, and said...listen to this. The manifold leak sound disappeared, but the roar of motor and tire appeared. I left him behind me. At the next light he said, I'm selling this and buying one of those. I love my street snake. Oh ya...this thread is about blow off valve size...lol. I am looking into a unit at Amazon right now...too many options...lol.

Don't you just love it. That look on their faces and the excuses they make. Love your SS name. Getting the DD&M street clutch installed this Tuesday. The stock clutch just want handle all the power at high rpms. Cost me a couple of races. Making no excuses. Cant wait to redeem myself.
