Power will all be the same with each turbo kit if you have stock internals. They will run right to the edge of what the stock motor can handle. Each kit will make the wheel spin at the same crazy fun speed.

It comes down to look, expected reliability, and customer service.

Prices.... (I think)

Alpha - $4,500
JohnV - $5,400
Hahn - $4,500 - $6,000 for 2 bar setup (depending what options you pick)
KMS - $5,500

Youtube videos....

I drink Alpha koolaid for the below reasons......

1. They are focused specifically on Slingshot and have a ton of high-end parts for this platform
2. I personally think re-locating the throttle body is a better design for air flow (and is easy to do)
3. I like the heat shield and the optional side exhaust; it is quiet and pushes all the exhaust away from you
4. It is the most affordable kit (that is proven)
5. Customer service is probably the best; they have the most people / availability for answering questions

I also have a lot of upgrades...powder coated pipes, ceramic coated exhaust manifold and compressor housing, 2 bar map sensor, exhaust baffles, not to mention quite a bit of dyno time. Not sure what the standard Stage 2X costs...just know what I paid for mine. Hope it helps.

@TravAZ that info isn't correct. I have to throw a correction in the thread when i see a need to. A Hahn 2x system can be purchased for 4500.00 to 4700.00. And Hahn has about a 40 to 50 hp bump in power over the next closet kit. Last dyno pull I made at Trackmaster was 282 HP with 294 FT Torque. One pull that was was showing 302HP. But only happened once. I don't consider that a valid pull. It is consistent at 282 to 285 HP. I also want to say that is with 8-9PSI of boost. She runs very good. And yes ,,,.its a she.

Didn't want to exactly throw all that data out there but I kinda needed to. I love all y'all like brothers and sisters. But I needed to correct ya on them being the same.

You can add all the powder coating and ceramic coating and jack up the price if you want to. I didnt and I don't even miss the purdy color!

They all do use top quality components and they will all produce similar hp when tuned correctly.

And your correct about them all being very good and probably come down to a geographic purchase decision.

Good info and updated that post for better clarity. I was hoping to find a dyno pull of a 2 bar setup, but couldn't find one online.

Also - Where is the pricing page / thread / info for Hahn turbo packages?

I personally like all the chit chat.. Because like it or not the truth always comes out...
@RABTECH at least when you open your mouth you have some data to back it up. I would like to see the vendors talk it up in here too :)
Man your going to stir the pot now.

All the other vendors, Alpha and JonV are able to produce huge numbers in HP. JonV made some ginormous amount of power with his setup a while back and so did Hahn with a dyno pull of 450+ HP. There are a couple of issues that brought them back down to a lesser number for a customer friendly safe product.

One huge reason is the stock engine can only take about 300 HP. It will rapidly disassemble when you start making more than that number. The second thing is the stock drivetrain of the SS. It hasn't been proven at power levels above 300. So what you are technically looking for is a very user friendly, very manageable solution that will get you as close to that magic number as possible. So far Hahn has provided a solution with the 2bar MAP sensor and the custom tuning of the ECU by Bob at MEFI to get you the closest to those goals. That is the most accurate and polite way to put the facts on the table.

And to be fair I always have to bring up that it wont be long before the other two find that solution themselves. And when they do I'm sure every Alpha and JonV will be sending their ECU to California to be flashed.

But you have to remember they will still be dealing with the same limitations of the SS.

There is quite a bit of misinformation floating about this thread.

I agree. I say we don't bring this subject back up and delete the thread. At this point in the game I just don't see a need for any more info. Its all on here somewhere. Everytime I post info I feel all weird about it. Don't know why except maybe its because some of my best friends run Alpha products. And I know its only a matter of days before they have the same setup that I am running.
