Aftermarket seats and quality of fit

OK I have taken a stroll around looking for the devil in the details::nailbiting:
Why do some of the installed aftermarket seats higher on the passenger side compared to the drivers side?
Is this the planted seat brackets position? Are there sliders or lack of on the passenger side causing this effect?
There is a reason and I am looking to not duplicate the same symmetry issue with the two seats at different positions.
XXXXXXX Don't care about the PRP being bolt ins:facepalm:
Just want to know if this is related to the planted brackets or what the issues causing this effect are before I waste some money I could buy the wife more stuff with:bag:
If you have an installation and they are matching heights I would love to know whats your details. Too many uneven heights on seats for me not to be concerned over with the choices I am about to make;)

Planted brackets. Got them from @SlingMods as they promised to get me the latest model with out fitment issues.

They are VERY nice seats - I was checking them out on @_MiM_ 's Slingshot as he passed through on his journey yesterday.

And just when I thought my sling was one of a kind :bawling:
GP,
The original Planted brackets were littered with fitment issues. One of them being different heights between passenger and driver. I have the version 3 brackets and with sliders on both they fit and set at the same height. Do you have the SSV side speaker pods? They do cause a small problem if you do.

Do you have a link to the version 3 seat brackets?

How do the seats compare to PRP version 2 seats and why did you choose them? How much of a cost difference is there?

If you order them from Slingmods they will at least be version 3. I've had these for more than a few months now. Just remember if you are planning on using the SSV side pods at any time the brackets will have to be modified.

Honestly I've sat in both versions of the PRPs. They are a different seat than Corbeaus, Recaros, Bride, Sparco, etc... They aren't racing seats and do not have the bolstering of one. They are made for a wider spectrum of body sizes and comfort.
The CR1s are a VERY comfortable racing seat if you fit in them. If you don't then you will be uncomfortable.
The pricing is similar if you compare options. The needed brackets are what make any aftermarket seat more expensive. But, to have a true racing seat and to stick out a bit more in the crowd at an event. They might be worth it.
All the new Planted Technology brackets are the newest revised version. They launched prematurely last year IMHO, and some fitment issues hadn't been worked out. Unfortunately the product reviews tanked before they had a chance to get traction with the revision and they've never recouped. @WraithSS We'd love it if you'd take a moment to review the product on our site if ya dig em after the install.

Thank you for the update. I would say what you could do to remedy that is create a different product SKU for the new version so the reviews are blank/clean slate and on the product description you can say new product revision updates and the old ones have been discontinued. Just my two cents.

Totally agree. If @WraithSS give it the thumbs up on the latest revision. I'll do just that. No pressure bro. haha

You got it buddy. Been running the brackets for more than a few months. I did modify them, but that was a fitment issue with SSV side pods. If the pods were not installed they are a drop in and easy install. I will do a good review on your site when I get off of work later.

Hand it to the folks at Planted:wideyed:
We have been seeking some corporate sponsorship and although we did not ask for any help they did step up and call us today asking if we would like to the the latest generation bracket not yet on the market:greedy:
I will have to wait a extra week but have been told these are the cats meow for the Corbeau seat installation:D
Sometimes good folk just step up without being asked:cigar:

GP,
Please take pics of the brackets when you receive them. Would like to see what changes were made.
Thank you young man:D
Certainly. Before installed of course, I would have no clue what to look for but in a week or so perhaps you can share with us if its materials or physical in natureo_O

Wish Planted would exchange my brackets that totaly sucked to install and gets my passenger seat 3 inches higher than driver seat...

And then there is the entire issue of setting up the safety belt plug. It comes in contact with the frame AND the seat so it severly limits how much travel the seat has.
OK Gang. As soon as I get this round of boot kits done I am going to hold off a spell to complete a new goodie bad for the Smokies. Custom bag like I handed out at Slingfest that will include the St. Jude Lap of America shirt, some glow in the dark Lap of America arm bands. I will also have some Assorted shift boots and other promo stuff available at the Smokies. Still love you all but have to save a little money to afford more gifts so if you want a boot kit I shall have several on hand with materials to make up desired combinations on site:wideyed:
Will post any remaining items shortly before the dry spell.:nailbiting:
But try and remember why we are doing this and consider the simplest of donations. Even a five dollar donation is a wonderful contribution my friends:singing:
