I just completed my personal best 4 Corner USA Road trip (10,340 miles & 41 days) last week.
I left Orange County California on June 22nd and headed towards Florida, Maine, Washington, Vancouver BC, Vacouver Island BC, and then down the entire west coast of America arriving home on August 1st. My sling handled all the weather conditions mother nature threw at us. From the 121 degree heat in Phoenix, the monsoon wind and rain in Florida, and the Rocky Mountain cold like a champion through it all. This road trip was special on so many levels. Bucket list after bucket list was completed. Throughout the trip it felt like I was on a safari (open Cockpit) traveling around this fine country. All the different smells, changes in temperature, Climatic regions and the bug/rock/bird/sand/rain/random debris flying by. Laughed at a lot of it... Thumbs up, smiles, questions, and cameras out in full force were a daily occurrence on the road and at each stop. I now know how the animals feel in Yellowstone My Sling impressed me more than words... True joy and inspiration to so many including myself... Thank you Polaris for making this all possible...

I am glad it all went well. Could you comment on how the luggage carrying went on the trip. I see you have the same top as I do. Were there any problems or something that you would do different? Did you carry any luggage behind the rollover bars? Did you gas mileage suffer?

In regards to luggage. I almost got caught up with spending thousands on excessory storage items. The following was planned for two people and it worked out great. I purchased (amazon $15) baby stroller add on storage with velcro straps for additional storage and placed them above each head rest. You will figure it out once you see it. I can take pics if you like? Finally I spent $30 on the Samsonite waterproof rooftop travel bag. It fit my Dynamic twist top roof perfectly. Mind you (after day 30) there were some small tears and discoloration starting, but I made it through without issue. What really made the trip was the PPR heated/ cushioned seats and the Dynamic Top. Hope this helps...

Gas mileage was 21.5 mpg with passengers and luggage. Without either it was 23.7 mpg

There were no problems with my sling. She is the 2016 SL SE Black Pearl. I started the trip with approximately 3,700 miles and had her serviced twice with the replacing of the rear tire prior to starting the trip. Had her serviced in Rapid City while on the trip. Great people excellent job.

What I would do different? The heat from the exhaust by your legs (for both driver and passenger) was a big issue, when the temp outside was 90 degrees plus. The PRP seats could use a cold element option on those days. Would have helped big time.

Rock on my brother. I have a friend that did that in his 4Runner and he'll tell you it really was the trip of a lifetime. He pretty much covered most of the U.S.A. over several months.

If you can post a pic of the behind the headrest setup, it would help. If you can't, maybe a link to the baby stroller add on storage would help.
It looks like your tires wore pretty quick. I have almost 10K on my 2015 model and they look great. Mileage is over 28 mpg.
