Anyone know where I can any find 3D printed files for the Sling? Specifically looking for a nice and tucked license plate bracket??

Given the vibrational and wind forces involved with riding a Sling, would the filament hold out?
I've thought about getting a 3D printer for odds and ends in my studio.

It depends on the material you print it with. I've made a few parts for vehicles including new clips for floor matts. The ones I made are holding up better than what I got from WeatherTech. The print material varies from very soft stuff for display models (PLA) to PETG and ABS for more durable projects. I've even printed with stuff that is carbon fiber infused.
If I can find a basic design on line, I'll see about modifying it for the Sling. If I make one, I'll post it here.

I found the plates on line and already had the Sling emblem. The blue was just the front portion. I'm probably gonna go with the black and add the SS logo. These were just rough draft prints with an inexpensive (<$300) printer....the Sling is the expensive hobby! If anyone wants, I can upload the print files when I'm done tinkering.

Slingmods sells one for $17. I put one on my 2017 SLR. It looks good and was easy to install.

Yes and no. If you spend $700-1000 you can get one that's fully calibrated and ready to go. If you go with something $200-500 you have to play with it to get it right. It's not hard, just takes time. There are a ton of great forums to get help. The top of the line are Prusa and Bambu Lab. Good mid price brands are Sovol and Ender. There are a 100 different brands out there and people will chime in with their favorites. The print media (plastic filament) runs $20-40 for 2 Kg depending on type and brand. One spool goes a long way.
I've owned 3 mid price printers over the last 6 years and use a high end printer at work. My next printer is going to be the Bambu Lab X1 which is the #1 commercial 3D printer right now.
