My shifter handle snapped off during a spirited run to 4th gear. Steel shaft failed at the threaded hole. Is Polaris fixing these for free? Perhaps GM ? Thanks.

Mone broke off mine on my 15 a few years ago. I installed the ddm short shifter.

Your SS is 6+ years old. And no they will not replace it for free but if you ask the guys here you maybe get a good one for free
