I removed my battery for winter storage, but after installing a header and an Alpha CAI, I couldn't wait until spring to hear how they sounded, so I reinstalled the battery. The battery is/was fully charged when I put it back in. Now while it's running, all the warning indicator lights in the dash are on. I'm kinda thinking that the ECU has to relearn whatever it is it needs to relearn, but after starting it and letting it run until warmed up several times, a half dozen or so, they are still lit.
I'm not able to drive it due to snow, and I have it on jack stands with the tires off. I'm not sure if it needs to be driven in order for it to relearn or if I'm even close to being on the right track. Anyone have some ideas regarding this ?
I went to the garage to start the Sling to see what lights are lit. The ABS, Brake failure, and ESP intervention lights are on. I did bleed the brakes using a Mighty-Vac. Would that have done this.
Me too, that's why I'm a bit concerned. I don't know how anything I've done to it could have possibly triggered the lights. I've never had any come on in 8,000 miles.
It most likely has something to do with wheel speed sensors. Mine with throw all those lights off on the dyno because the rear wheel is spinning (or has spun) and the fronts didn't move.
This confuses the SS and throws the lights. Once all wheels can move again together and the system recogizes all is well, the lights should go off.
Again if there are no codes, I would not worry about it. The next time it is halfway nice, take it for a short cruise and it should clear everything.
No, but I didn't have the parking brake on either, so the rear hub was spinning until I did set the brake. I didn't want to have the ebrake freeze up on me. That's why it wasn't set at start up.
