    I totally agree with you....

In the picture I posted from the front, the seat kind of covers the speaker, but the pod is a few inches back and I never recline the seat to hit the back so the sound is not completely blocked.

If i were to purchase the rear pods, I would just by-pass the front six speakers and use the two behind the seats. Any one know where the connection point is to wire from the front units to the rear speakers?

If that is what you want, just disconnect the front pods and extend the wires to the rear; Done.
However... I would recommend not to. Add a 5 channel amp with subwoofer output.
Have fronts / rear and sub out. you will be happier...

Yes we will have that as an option in the near future. I will be working on getting some done next week.

Well, I received my rear speaker pods and a couple of coaxial 200 watt speakers and finally got them installed. I had three hick- ups that slowed me down though; The speakers fit the pods fine, but the outer circumference and grills were too large to fit under the roll bars, so i spent a lot of time grinding them to fit properly. I used very fine guage speaker wire which is difficult to strip without breaking. One final hangup were the fasteners directly in back of the seats. The screws came out OK, but it was impossible to re-use them for the new pods. Bottom line; the sound is great for those with hearing impairment and the next best thing to wearing ear phones! :) ( The front pods are gone & replaced with carbon fiber panels)

    A couple of good choices:

    Memphis MCX-60

Kicker KM654 (available with or without LED lighting)

These are speakers that I know will work for sure.

WARNING: These pods say they're for 6.5" speakers & they are, but they use the 6.75" speaker hole pattern. Not all 6.5" speakers will work!!! The above speakers will work for sure...

Thanks... I think I may go with the KickerKM654... As long as they fit without having to do any cutting

Those will work with no modifications required. In fact, if you buy the pods direct from SSV, the Kickers are one of the two speakers they offer as an option.

A couple more known to work (because different people have their own preferred brand):

    Polk Audio db6501

    Rockford Fosgate R165X3

Tufskinz finished my carbon fiber overlay for the rear pods today. @SlingMods can now list them online. Little video they sent me for my build below. They look awesome.
