I've got both and with supercharger on the sling, now outruns the Trex. Sorry.

Check out my Slingshot top and doors. I have a rear window too. Can't do that with my TRex

Doesn't the Trex still out accelerate the Slingshot since it has the weight of the engine over the back wheel? From what I've read and videos I've seen, It seems like the Slingshot is limited in the rear traction department. With the stock engine it can't hook up. Add a turbo or supercharger and it only gets worse. I've seen videos of guys pushing 500+ hp with their built ecotechs and it seems kinda pointless. There's so much power that if they lay into the throttle in the upper gears it just spins the tire. That seems a bit dangerous at speed and totally pointless.

Added note, we believe that something needs to be said here for we did not share the whole story to keep it fun and light. You see, what ended these fun-in-games is at the third light the other SlingShot lost control, crossed the center line, and came nose to nose with oncoming traffic. We all were very lucky that there was no damage done neither to bodies or machines. We all were very very stupid pulling this stunt on the street, it was a good thing it was early morning and traffic was light.:oops::shamefullyembarrased:

That's cool, I get it. I just used to beat all the V8 Camaros and Mustangs with my 4 cylinder all wheel drive Eagle Talon Turbo in my early twenties. I continued to do the same with my Twin Turbo V6 all wheel drive 3000 GT after that. Since then I got Married, sold my 3000 GT, and don't have a fast street machine anymore lol! I really like the Slingshot but the lack of traction/acceleration turns me off. I like to continually add horsepower to my ride and have it put me back in my seat harder as a result. I feel with a Slingshot it will just equal making tire smoke. I do enjoy reading about/seeing all the custom creations on this site.
