Oh yeah, looks just like the Slingshot.
    :)
Its as they say, a Miata competitor.
GM sold like 5 vehicles that sold when the economic crash hit and 2 of them were the Solstice and the Sky. (Same car I know)
Those were Miata killers but got the ax.
GM doesnt have a good reputation for taking a car and having the patience to stick with it and develop it once it hits the road.

@evomind, you pretty much hit the nail on the head with your assessment of GM's history. The Sky/Solstice was treated similarly to how GM treated the Fiero. Potential, but not really supported by GM.
My posting as possible competition was based on all the folks who directly compare the Slingshot against the Miata, rightly or wrongly. I always liked the old Opel GT and don't think the new concept looks that bad, although I'm not too sure about the door/window treatment.

    Open GT Concept

Looks like they took a Z concept car and removed the engine...they probably claim fuel economy is "best in class."

    I'm afraid you're probably correct.

It looks like an opel, a BMW Z3, and a miata made a baby and the baby has the worst traits from all 3. :spitoutdummy::vomit:
