Does anyone know where the parking brake power supply is located? Also the speed detection circuit? I'm installing a pioneer AVIC-8100NEX.
    Thanks in advance.

I could swear the parking brake is manually operated...

Speed detection is in the ECU.

WTF Frankenstein thing are you cobbling together?

The install manual for the radio wants to attach wires to the supply side on the parking brake so you can't watch DVD's while driving. The speed sensor aids in the GPS.

I think you're looking for these:

The display is not the stereo head unit:
How to connect a Stereo Amp to the stock radio?

    Wiring diagrams:
    SL hidden rear speaker wires?

On the e-brake side of things, most people run that input to ground or constant hot, depending on the type of signal required, so the DVD plays whenever the user wants it to. It's then up to the driver to not watch DVDs while driving. Not saying you should do this...

In fact, there are lots of things in life that one would probably be best not doing...

Those wires are not necessary. Use a PAC TR1 to bypass the video in motion. The Navigation will be just fine without the speed sensor wire connected.

The PAC TR1 isn't necessary with the 8100NEX. Follow this video to see how to use the GUI bypass:

You need to buy this off Amazon MicroBypass Parking Brake Override Bypass for Pioneer AVIC-U220

See my post above. The micro bypass is not needed for the stereo he is installing. Those little jokers will play all kinds of havoc when they fail.
