So I got a Double DIn instal kit from Slingmods & wanted to show it off a little. Just as described no cutting required & it comes with a "splash cover" that covers the face while at the car wash or during a rainstorm. I'm thinking about adding the sun visor I purchased a while back. To me it adds to the "lines" on the dash. Whatcha think??

that looks great, is your radio water proof and if not does the cover protect it well. also would any water get behind the radio where it sits inside the dash. only reason i am asking i have a double din that has been sitting around and was thinking of installing it but it is not water proof.

I bought the same install kit and have a pioneer AVH-P4200 DVD to put in. Just have to figure out what camera I want to install and how I am going to do it.

I tell ya it fits real tight just on its own. I did put a small strap in the back just to make sure.

No the radio is not waterproof. The cover is just to stop water from splashing on the screen. I guess water can still get in from the engine compartment if you were driving on flooded roads. I don't really plan on driving much in the rain so I'm not too worried about it.

Any double din radio should work.

Ya know the visor only helps when the sun is directly above or forward. The thing that's helped the best is my new top!!!
