Anyone have two 6.5" speakers in the front (on each side by your feet)? I'm looking to add some extra sound to the front and have seen a few option of custom enclosures people are making. I'm 6'4" with long legs so I'm a bit afraid of losing the leg room and access to my clutch. Some enclosures look shallower than others. I LOVE the look of these two attached pics to match my custom paint job. Any pics, thoughts, sources or advice would be appreciated! I'm also thinking of getting the $500 custom pods from underground auto and doing 7.7 JL components or 8" (other brand). Anyone have these??

just my two cents, i think having two 6.5" will definitely affect clutch accessibility. we did a single 8" PA style speaker with a bullet tweeter in custom pods for a customer about your height, and it definitely effected how he drove it.

I forgot to update this thread...

Jack at underground auto has been such a help. I decided to have him cut the hole for the JL 7.7 but I'm going to wait to do the Tweeter holes. Once my entire system is complete I'm going to put the tweeters on long temporary speaker lines and velcro them down below and then try them on the dashboard somewhere and drive around to see what sounds better while in motion before doing final installation. Total stereo budget is close to $7000 now after rear pods go in and 7.7s with new custom painted pods and additional amp. Should sound awesome with the new additions. Ill post up when complete.

Out of curiousity, what are you doing for rear pods?

I bought the rear pods from SSV and I put my 6.5 inch JL speakers that used to be in my front pods into the rear ones. I'm going to set up a volume knob so I can lower/adjust the rear pods to be balanced with the rest of my stereo during slow City cruising speeds. And I can Crank It Up while on the highway to hear the music better so I don't blow my other speakers since their gains would be naturally higher otherwise.
