Rist Rocket Racing has one for $244.99 and it shaves off 18.2 pounds off of the stock set up, and it weighs in at 3.2 pounds (including the new hold down) according to the web site. They are also a Forum Sponsor.

I was able to place an order with them right after it was announced that the business was for sale. You might need to contact them to see if they are still accepting orders. I ordered the oil catch can and the upper support bar that they sell.

Ahhh, that makes a lot more sense LOL. Porsche not Ducati. :banghead:

The biggest problem I had with my Carrera 4S was parasitic drain, If I didn't have a trickle charger on it that car would bleed down the battery to nothing in a month or less. I did not however put a lithium battery in it, my first go round with lithium was in my bike - and fell in love with them. I did put a spiral cell in my old 4Runner and it seemed to be a real good battery but I traded the truck in when the battery was only about 2 years old so no idea how long it was going to last.

The biggest issue I read about with the Optima spiral cells from the guys that really used and abused them was that the general consensus was that at one time, Optima made a really good battery (one of the best perhaps) and then they outsourced production to Mexico and the quality went down the toilet. Not my experience - just what I read on the forums.

I can believe the cost with what he did on his 997. Nothing, and I mean nothing is cheap when it comes to Porsche's. But man, are they fun.

Off topic, but for clarification. Why is a Porsche called a Duc? Sorry for my naiveté, but apparently I am not the only one.

    :)

When @Neosolidus said "997" I thought he was talking about a Ducati Monster S4Rs Testastretta 997 motorcycle.

He was actually talking about a Porsche Carrera 997 (which is one of the later designations of what many people call a 911).

Sorry for the confusion when talking about porsche we tend to call them by their body internal designation which in this case was a 997 which means a porsche 911 carrera 4s that was manufactured between 2004-2012.
