I'm torn between buying a new or used windshield for my base, but since i'm modding anyway, i thought i'd just get an aftermarket ones, whether it's used or new.
My dilemma is that i don't know which is the best buck for the quality. Based on your experience, can you help me decide?
So far, i'm leaning towards the madstad windshield but there's different options for 9-13 inch.
On the 2015 stock windshield the height of the shield was about an in above the center brace. the 3+ in 3 in taller and 5+ in taller.
F4 did make a special custom for a friend of mine that was a 9+...
These number probably not exact but close. Having been on a Honda Gold Wing for 20+ years and having a Tulsa shield (taller-wider-tinted) the F4 5+ tinted was what works great for me.
I figuring on F4 with the wings for sure.
I remember some of my old cars with no AC and what a difference those little wings made.
Thanks for great advice all.
Sounds like the F4 will be my choice is well with the Wings.
I know many have spoke about windshield height compared with drivers height which sounds like a +3 or +5 for a person 5'-10" but what about the best height of the windshield for the different tops?

I'm 5'-10" and look thru the F4 tinted 5+ --- mine was a gen 1 shield--one of the first sent out --- I have never seen the distortion in mine that has been talked about. I do have the original OEM seats...
I like the madstad, it allows me to adjust it low on nice days and look over it and on chilly or if I get caught in the rain raise it up so I look through it with out getting beat up.
